Don Dike, left, of Gorbett Brothers team, and Freddy Stringer, of Fort Worth Boys Club, get the word from three baseball veterans at North Side Little League opening. Left to right, Art Phelan, one-time Cat infielder and operator of minor league clubs ; Al Vincent, current manager of Cats, and Clarence Kraft, whose 55 home runs for the 1924 Cats still stands as Texas League record. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition June 9, 1954.
