    J. R. Ray, 32, of 4233 Trueland, left, is shown holding a plaque presented him by Councilman Jack E. Burton as the police officer of the month for March. Ray, a desk officer with five years service, was cited for his courteous attentiveness to the public, his perfect attendance record, his ability to get along with fellow officers and his willingness to serve in any department. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition June 2, 1954.
