Description
This was the picture minutes after a vacant house at 918 W. Broadus exploded in a roar that was heard throughout the city. At the right is the home of Mrs. Joe Magouirk, which was severely damaged by the blast. Mrs. Magouirk was buried in debris that caught her in bed. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition May 27, 1954.
