Assistant Fire Chief H. A. Owens, left, and City Gas Supervisor John Kane inspect the leaking gas pipe in the kitchen of a rent house at 918 W. Broadus. The leaking gas caused a blast that heavily damaged the house and adjacent buildings. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition May 28, 1954.
