Description
The first twin-engine turboprop military transport in the nation, the Convair YC-131C, tries its wings for the first time on a 16-minute test flight from Carswell Air Force Base. The plane is a Model 340 Convair-Liner on which a conversion project started at company's Fort Worth division plant. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition May 21, 1954.
