Description
Martin Francis, a fifth grade teacher at South Fort Worth Elementary School, was elected president of Fort Worth Classroom Teachers Unit 5 at a meeting at W. C. Stripling Junior High School. Francis, who succeeded Mrs. Bess Cleland as president, was a native of Fort Worth and a graduate of Polytechnic High School and TCU. He was a Navy veteran and had been teaching for 5 years. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition May 21, 1954.
