Description
Reverend C. W. Brister accepted a call to become pastor of the Haltom Road Baptist Church, which was sponsored by Broadway Baptist Church. Reverend Brister, 28, native of Alexandria, Louisiana, did graduate work at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary on his Th.D. degree. He had a B. D. degree from New Orleans Baptist Seminary and a B. A. degree from Louisiana College, Pineville. He had held pastorates in Louisiana, and at Bynum in Hill County, Texas. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition May 22, 1954.
