Description

James R. Jefferson, left, and Gerald H. Baum, both student at Texas Wesleyan College, were sworn in as second lieutenants in the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve by Captain T. G. Snipes, inspector-instructor for the USMCR, in the training center at 2222 Worth. Both reported for active duty at Quantico, Va. Their parents were Mr. and Mrs. O. H. Jefferson of 2600 Carter and Mr. and Mrs. G. C. Baum of Whitesboro. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition May 13, 1954.
