Description
Reaction was varied in Fort Worth schools as second graders lined up for Salk vaccine inoculations in a nationwide experiment to find a successful polio preventive. Here it is shown Donnie Gene Richardson, 8, son of Mr. and Mrs. Homer Richardson of 606 West Bluff who let out a soft "gee" when he took the needle. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition May 11, 1954. The woemn in the photo are unidentified.
