Miss Mae Stewart, 4464 Evans Avenue, and her fiance, Joseph A. Oppie, chose the date for their wedding in Saint Patrick's Cathedral. A reception was held in St. Ann's Club. The engagement was announced y her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George W. Stewart of Bonham. Mr. and Mrs. Anthony A. Oppie 500 Churchill Rd., are the bridegroom's parents. Miss Stewart was a graduate of Plano High School and is a member of Beta Sigma Phi. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition May 16, 1954.
