Elected to serve at the following year's Texas Convention of Christian Churches were, left to right, Reverend W. W. Jones of Beaumont, president; Rev. Richard W. Crews of Pampa, first vice president; Mrs. W. G. Triplett of Raymondville, assistant secretary, and Mrs. George Fowler of Fort Worth, second vice president. Not shown in the picture are C. E. Coombes of San Angelo, elected third vice president, and Rev. John Hughes of Port Arthur, chosen secretary. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition May 12, 1954.
