Mrs. Daisy Word of Fort Worth pins a poppy on V. D. Jones of Bagwell, Texas, department commander of the United Spanish War Veterans. With them is Peyton Irving of Dallas, past department commander and adjunctant-quartermaster. The USWV and auxiliary staged a convention at Hotel Texas. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition May 9, 1954.
