Description

Pedestrians and vehicles moved across the 1,090-foot span over the Brazos River after the speaking. The bridge has been open to traffic but was not officially dedicated until Wednesday. As estimated 2,000 attended the program on the concrete bridge. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition May 5, 1954.
