At 55 year of age, Miss Birtie Anne Pearson, a teacher in Fort Worth Public schools for over 31 years, would retire in June 1950, due to ill health. She taught at E. M. Dagget, Carroll M. Peaks, Denver Avenue, and Riverside Elementary. She was also a member of the National Education Association, the Classroom Teachers Association, and the Parent-Teacher Association. Published in the morning edition, May 21, 1950.
