When Gayle Gwendolyn Manske, 5, left, and her 2-year-old sister, Carol Ruth, were found alone and hungry at their home, detectives took over and gave them Easter baskets. Making deliveries are Detective Tex Cassidy, sitting, and Detective Captain O. R. Brown. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition April 20, 1954.
