Description
This male emu at Forest Park Zoo shows no interest in his job of hatching the eggs of his young. He prefers to give Zoo Curator Lawrence Curtis a cold stare. Curtis is trying to hatch four emu eggs in an incubator, a job normally handled by the male bird. Curtis holds a hen egg in his left hand to compare size of the emu egg. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition April 14, 1954.
