Description

Erected in 1872 near Fort Griffin by Shackelford County's first judge, W. H. Ledbetter, which was moved to Albany's city park. A "picket" house, it is so named because of its vertical split log construction. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition April 11, 1954.
