A cousin of will Rogers, Mr. and Mrs. Charles C. and Ora Ona Ross, would celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary in their home. The couple had two children, Charliemae Lauver, and W. D. Ross. Ora Ona was born and raised in the Cherokee Nation, her father was James M. Tittle, a descendant of the Sequoyah and a member of the Cherokee tribe. .
