John D. Steele, left, retiring after 38 years of service with Service Pipe Line Company and predecessor companies, receives gifts from F. M. Willenburg, division manager for the oil carrier. Steele, superintendent's clerk who came to Fort Worth in 1919, was honored by associates at a luncheon at the Worth Hotel. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition April 1, 1954
