Honors of valedictorian and salutatorian went to two of "the most outstanding students" of the eight grade graduating class of Smithfield School. Valedictorian of her class, Mary Louise, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. O. Johnson. Salutatorian is Alice Louise Barnett, daughter of Reverend and Mrs. C. R. Barnett. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition May 18, 1950.
