Description
Frau Claire Kuhn, city councilwoman of Kaiserslauten, Germany, is holding the brass-bound pistol which her mayor, Burgomeister Wilhelm Franke, right, brought to Lieutenant Colonel Milton B. Pulver as a memento of their two years' work together in Germany while the colonel was stationed there with the Western Area Command. Franke was proud of the "Texas hat" and flag he acquired in Lubbock while studying city government methods there, and prouder still of the honorary Fort Worth citizenships he and Frau Kuhn received later in City Hall. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition March 10, 1954.
