Description
Many years of public service are represented by the quartet shown conferring recently at U.S. Courthouse when A. P. Mitchell, seated right, retired auto dealer who served as federal jury commissioner, gave tips for his successor, Ralph D. Martin, standing left, one-time deputy sheriff and former Deputy U.S. Marshal. U.S. Commissioner Robert F. Milam, seated left, who has held that post since 1942, was Tarrant's youngest judge in 1904 and is a former mayor. U.S. Marshal J. R. Wright, upper right, is winding up more than 20 years in that post and is a former Tarrant County sheriff and Arlington city marshal. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition March 1, 1954.
