Description
Ricardo Lara, left, and Armando Quintana, right, help Heavyweight Lloyd Thorton with his gloves at the Golden Gloves-National Guard Gymnasium as the three of them workout a exercise drill. Lara, a flyweight, and Quintana, a lightweight, both are from El Paso. Thorton is from Fort Hood. The three, along with five other Texas representatives, will leave for Chicago. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning February 23, 1954.
