Left to right, they are: Flyweight Ricardo Lara, El Paso; Bantamweight Duggie Jameson, Amarillo; Featherweight Raymond Garcia, El Paso; Lightweight J. C. Crowley, Fort Worth; Welterweight Melvin Gragg, San Antonio; Middleweight John (Cheeta) White, Dallas; Light-Heavyweight Roy Harris, Houston, and Heavyweight Wesley McDonald, Fort Worth. Garcia and Harris successfully defended their 1953 Texas crowns. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening February 24, 1954.
