Description
The Navy Cross was pinned on Frank E. Lovett by Marine Captain Dalton Hielscher as Mrs. Lovett watched. The Lovetts' son, Marine Sgt. Frank E. Lovett Jr., was killed on Bunker Hill in Korea March 26 1953. The parents received his Navy Cross at ceremonies at the Marine Corps Reserve Training Center. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition February 16, 1954.
