Sky Melody, owned and ridden by Clyde K. Carter of Fort Worth won the $750 parade stake at the Southwestern Exposition and Fat Stock Show. Reserve went to Carter's Northern Chief, ridden by Casper Trippe. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram February 8, 1954.
