    Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Parker are shown. Mrs. J. P Parker is holding a poster with the words "Home to stay" written on in. Mr. Parker, 74 retires after 52 years and seven months of service on the Cotton Belt Railroad. He bowed out as the oldest fireman - in point of service - in Texas. He could have gone around the world 100 times for all the miles he chalked up as a fireman on the Cotton Belt. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition February 4, 1954.
