Bobby Zane Egger, 18, Mills County 4-H Club boy owned and exhibited the grand champion steer in the junior show of the Southwestern Exposition and Fat Stock Show. Shown with the 1,000-pound Hereford are left to right; W. R. Watt, president and manager of the Stock Show, Jess Andrew, president of the International Livestock Exposition, Chicago; George Reese, county agent in Mills County, and Egger. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition January 31, 1954.
