    Georgia governor Herman Talmadge, front row left, witnessed his first rodeo. Others in the party on the front row are, Mrs. H. J. Maxwell of Fort Worth, J. J. McLanahan of Elberton, Ga., Mrs. J. Rob Griffin of Fort Worth, and Dr. Lee Rogers of Gainesville, Ga. Second row, left to right, are Maxwell, Griffin and Dr. D. W. Thompson of Elberton. The Georgia visitors were the guests of the Maxwells for the week-end. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition January 31, 1954.
