Description
Sifting of fat steers started in the first livestock event of the Southwestern Exposition and Fat Stock Show in the cattle judging arena. More than three hundred steers were inspected by the sifting committee which included Show President W. R. Watt, Jack Turner, secretary of the American Hereford Association; Milt Miller of Brady, field man for the American Aberdeen Angus Association, and Ted Aegerter, field man for the American Shorthorn Association. Here it is shown a group of kids with their fat steers. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition January 29, 1954.
