Description
Coach Jack Whitley will lose only two of the 16 lettermen he named at the Moslah Shrine Temple Drum and Bugle Corp's annual banquet honoring the Masonic Home football team. They are Jim Bowlin, halfback, and Tackle Gus Hicks. Quarterback Jack Evans and Halfback Max Blankenship were elected captain and co-captain, respectively, for the 1954 season. Blankenship was awarded a certificate representing his winning the Moslah Drum Corps trophy for sportsmanship, scholarship, and citizenship by Hugh Craig, ex-student and past Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Texas.
