Description
Catcher Frank Mancuso of San Antonio blocks the plate and tags his fellow craftsman, Catcher Ken Staples of the Cats, for an out in the second inning of the night's game at La Grave. Umpire K. P. (Frenchy) Arceneaux stands ready to hand down a decision. Staples had singled, moved to second on a sacrifice, and was trying to score from that point on an infield error. The Cats won, 5-2. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, May 14, 1950.
