The photograph showing oil painting is part of a series done by Doctor Carleton Calkin, head of Texas Christian University's art department. Three of the paintings are included in a TCU faculty show in their Fine Arts Building. This painting is an interpretation of a Chippewa legend. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition January 24, 1954.
