Here are the eight Open Champions crowned in the Star-Telegram's 18th annual Regional Golden Gloves tournament. Left to right, they are: Flyweight Leonard Smith, Bantamweight Ray Fleming; Featherweight Ferral Snider; Lightweight J. C. Crowley; Welterweight Joe Batson; Middleweight Gene Stacy; Light-heavyweight Donnie Fleeman and Heavyweight Wesley McDonald. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning January 21, 1954.
