Johnny Klapper, left, of Arlington, backs away just in time to escape righthand punch thrown by Kenneth Taylor, Grapevine, in featherweight fight on the Star-Telegram's opening Regional Golden Gloves program Friday night. Taylor took decision victory. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning January 16, 1954.
