    Description

Sally Steger asked youngsters who attended her sixth birthday party to bring coins instead of gifts- for good reason. Here she turns the $40.28 collected over to City-County Hospital Administrator Lowell Hudson, left, and J. Bob Roberts 1954 March of Dimes campaign director, to help polio-stricken youngsters. Sally, whose birthday guests rode with her on a fire truck to present the money at City-County, is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. J. H. Steger, 3426 Westcliff Rd. S. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, January 7, 1954.
