Description
Scene at 5733 Lower Birdville Rd. where Mrs. John D. Tyler Sr. (Ruby Tyler) slain in a gun battle that wounded her husband, John D. Tyler Sr., and a deputy constable. Her body was stretched behind the car at the left, and her wounded husband was slumped over her. One of the deputies fell to the right of the sidewalk. An officer peers through a house window smashed later by the couple's son who went searching for a gun when he was notified of his mother's death. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, December 23, 1953.
