Description
Odessa Halfback Larry Mason breaks through right guard for seven yards on the first play of the Broncos' 4A semifinal game with Dallas Woodrow Wilson at Odessa. Wilson's David Mitchell (52) is making the late dive for Mason but Wayne Pace (left) is waiting to make the tackle at Odessa's 34. Broncos won on first downs after a 14-14 deadlock and 20-yard-line penetrations were tied at four apiece. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition December 14, 1953.
