Description
Dr. E. Leslie Carlson with color slide projector. He is a pioneer of 28 years using visual aid in education. He is a professor in the School of Theology at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. In 1925 he did not have a camera and was touring the Holy Land when it occurred to him that his students would appreciate seeing ancient historic scenes. He purchased pictures and postcards of the Holy Land and brought a projector to show his pictures. He later graduated to better and more modern projectors. The slides he uses in the classroom are processed in color. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram on September 13, 1953.
