Eleven rookie policemen were sworn by City Secretary E. S. Birdsong. The new officers will begin a six-week training course, shown left to right, Birdsong, J. A. Bathrop, Billy Wayne Weatherby, Omar S. Anders, Seymour Blonder, Billy Joe Stevens, Harmon R. Fisher, H. L. Biggs, and Eldon Moyers.
