A parade, bathing beauty contest and selection of a queen opened Reagan County's two-day golden anniversary celebration. Mrs. Jim Sawyer of Benedum Pool, Reagan County, an entry in the beauty revue, talks with Snipe Conley, a 25 year employee of Big Lake Oil Company. Conley is a pumper tending Reagan County's discovery well which has been producing 30 years. Mrs. Sawyer was the first child born at Texon, oil camp town of Big Lake Oil Company. Conley was once a Texas League pitcher.
