Description
Gordon Hawes takes off from his airlines agent's job to air comments about Amon Carter Field to Sunday visitors on the observation desk. He is a ground-based airline agent but takes to the air waves each Sunday, as an announcer for 4 to 7 pm. He is standing on the outdoor dinning deck, from where he can see both plane activity and the crowd on the observation deck below. His comments are piped through 10 speakers on the observation deck. He gives information on what planes are landing and taking off, where they come from and where they're going, who's flying them and throws in general airport information.
