    Description

Water flowed bankful in the tail race channel leading from gates of Benbrook Dam Friday into the Clear Fork of the Trinity River. Fort Worth district office, U. S. Corps of Engineers, is releasing 500 acre-feet of water from Benbrook Lake authority of the State Board of Waters Engineers, which is granted requests to flush the river, eliminating stagnant pools and providing water for plants in Botanic Garden and other users of river water along the stream. A section of the dam can be seen in the background.
