Participants in the dedication of Lake Stamford and the open house at the West Texas Utility Company's new plant on the reservoir's shore were, left to right, W. L. Cooper, president of the Stamford Chamber of Commerce; Edwin Vennard of Chicago, president of the Middle West Service Company and the program's principal speaker; Prince Campbell of Abilene, president of West Texas Utility; Simon W. Freese of Fort Worth, consulting engineer on the project, and E. E. Farrow of Dallas, contractor who laid the water line from Stamford to the lake.
