Abe Martin makes his first competitive start as TCU head coach, sent the Frogs out against Kansas University in new battle formation - Split T - after years of staunch adherence to wingback-style attack. Frogs defeat the Jayhawks, 13-0 at Amon Carter Stadium before 26,000, the largest opening home crowd in the school's history.
