Little Known Variety - While Chihuahuas are common in Texas, the long-haired variety shown above are far less well known. These dogs are owned by Mrs. John Gold. The puppies in the basket are 6 weeks old and weighed four ounces each when whelped. The dam, left, is Shroyer's Chocolate Chip, a brown dog. The other dog is Gold's Mingito. Chip tips the scales at 4 and a half pounds and Mingito at five pounds.
