Description
Fort Worth aerial view shows the east end of the new Convair access road which open for traffic. Parallel to the superhighway on the left is Calmont. The tie-in to Calmont is temporary. Purchase of right of way to extend the access road to the East-West Freeway is scheduled to begin Oct. 1. When the proposed link is completed traffic no longer will have to turn off on Calmont but will continue eastward on to the Freeway. The aerial is looking west and roads in view include Winthrop Ave., Westridge Ave., and Ridglea Ave. Published in the in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, September 24, 1953.
