Description
Wendell Wiley of Decatur, a patient in City-County Hospital's polio ward, demonstrates the easy way a patient can raise or lower either end of his bed by moving a switch. The bed is controlled by an electric motor. The device saves nurses' time and labor since a patient's bed must be adjusted more than 10 times per day. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, September 16, 1953.
