Description
Reddell Gregory, University of Texas law student, stops his "C" Jaguar for inspection by race fans at Eagle Mountain airport. He'll be one of the favorites in the main event at the Guardsman's trophy races Sunday, August 23. The Eagle Mountain National Guard Base car race is staged jointly by the Eagle Mountain National units and the Fort Worth-Dallas Sports Car Club, aims to provide funds for the guardsmen's recreation and athletic equipment needs. A wide and weird variety of vehicles answering to the general description of sports car at the race. The Jaguar is used for general touring and in competition where speed of 120 mph-plus are desired. The XK-120 "c" with the same displacement as the standard roadster is in the 150 mph class.
