Description
"Wedding Bell Special" was painted on the nose of a helicopter which took off from Heliport No. 1, Western Hills Hotel, with its first honeymoon couple for Amon Carter Field, from where they left on a two-week trip to Mexico. Pictured left is Buddy Rogers, husband of Mary Pickford, and former movie star, wishing "happy landings" to his brother, Major Bruce Rogers, and bride, who were married here Sunday, August 16. She is the former Mrs. Glenn Pearson. The pilot is Dick Buyers, 7217 Richland Road. Buddy Rogers was his brother's best man in the wedding.
